Supporting Young Adults with SEMH Building Resilience in Education & Employment

Supporting Young Adults with SEMH: Building Resilience in Education & Employment

Speaker: Toni Horn

Description

Young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs face unique challenges as they move through education and into the world of work—and too often, they do it without the right support.

Supporting Young Adults with SEMH: Building Resilience in Education & Employment focuses on how educators, employers, and support networks can better understand and respond to the needs of young adults with SEMH. From anxiety and low self-esteem to trauma and behavioural challenges, we explore what’s really going on beneath the surface—and how to build resilience through compassion, structure, and trust.

Led by a speaker with personal and professional insight, this session offers practical strategies for creating environments where young people feel safe, empowered, and ready to succeed—whether in the classroom, in training, or in the workplace.
